Haha, well my Alfa has quirks but it is reliable.

My point is that I expect quirks but not major issues. I am also a Porsche owner and they released a couple of particularly problematic engines (not diesel-gate related!) in the late 90s/early 00’s. I owned a couple examples and took proactive action to address the issues. But those types of flaws didn’t make me think more highly about those models vs the model I own without any major problems. The latter is a keeper, the others not.

I guess as more info comes out, and more people have often-recurring issues with these 32xx movements, the more I question adding the affected models before I see Rolex acknowledge and permanently address. Love the GMT and new DJ from a outward design perspective but the movement is central to the watch. Not impressed seeing problems and no official response. Or perhaps there has been one?

My 2019 BLNR has been pretty awful at keeping time lately so I definitely have to make a trip to the AD and get it looked up as well.

Can totally imagine how you feel btw, out of all the watches i had / have, that watch is something extra special, i know i ll miss it too when i ll take it in to get it fixed

Thx for your comments guys. Good to hear I'm not the only one having a hard time missing a favorite watch.

A whole day has passed by the way since I posted this thread, and still no message from my AD

I have sent some watches in and I can say, I much prefer sending it directly to RSC as I get the updates and I don't have a middleman. However, I will send you photos of mine to ease your pain.

thx in advance for the pictures

My AD has an in-house RCS, so my AD is also the RSC. You can actually see the guys working on the watches in the RSC while standing in the boutique.
This is why they quoted about 4 weeks for the service.

Seems like more and more ADs are becoming mini service centers. Ours here is the same now

This issue doesn’t affect all watches, I’ve had two that have been ‘poorly’ and one which is performing great.

That's not very persuasive. But maybe i'm missing your point.

missing my Pepsi

Reunited with my Pepsi today, couldn’t be happier. They did a full service under guarantee. Will be keeping an eye on the consistency the next few weeks.

I already appreciated the Pepsi very much, but even more now that I had to miss it for over a month.

BLRO is my favorite watch of all time. Couldn't live without it. The aeronautical and military history make it a must have watch for me.

Hopefully I get a quick turnaround on mine too, sent it in nearly 2 weeks ago for running -11 seconds per day.

Good to hear! Enjoy the watch!!! Did you bring it to S&C?

I had the same problem with my GMT meteorite and also brought it to the inhouse RSC from S&C. It took them 3 weeks and it got a service under warranty. It did include dust under the glass.. but only noticeable with loupe so i left it.

Hi, brought mine to Gassan, which is our (my wife’s) AD for years now. You’re scaring me with the dust under the glass. Can’t seem to see any dust in mine, don’t have a loop though. Maybe I should get one.

Guess S&C is faster. Did get one of the watches there a few years ago; was offered after I did some shopping for my wife for her birthday.

Nice to ‘meet’ a fellow Dutchman here

Mooi dat ie terug is! Veel plezier er weer mee! Nice that its back, have more fun with it!
Mine is also quite a bit slow (-7,-8 s/d), am also thinking of having it adjusted. 2 years old Datejust.

Hoi!

If the watch still under guarantee i would definitely bring in for service. It gives comform (at least to me) that the watch works how is should. You just have to miss is for a while, but also that's fine because you will relive the 'incoming' again (sort of).

No need to be scared, if you don’t see it with the naked eye it’s no biggy. Don’t go looking for it, i did that in the past and you always find something and if you can’t let it go it will ruin the experience for you.

Yes indeed, nice to meet a fellow dutchman. There aren’t that many here i think. I also was on the dutch rolexforum but that one is not so active anymore except for ads.
