At that price, if he ships it you won't get that watch, if you meet it will be stolen. Avoid.

Well, $7000 to 7500 is probably how much the seller will be getting if he sells/trade it in to a watch store, right? I have seen people selling 2017 ones on the forum for low $8000 OBO. So $7500 is a good deal, but not impossibly good.

My first time venturing into this side of the forums on TRF, so take my advice with a huge grain of salt...

But having done many high end deals on craigslist (selling cars, furniture, etc.) there is no reason to totally shy away from everything and anything on craigslist. Not everyone is out there to rip others off. Just be careful and proceed with common sense, and you should be good.

The posting seems legit, the person has their phone number listed in the reply section, so it is not a nigerian scammer. They have the picture of the original receipt with the AD invoice, the serial numbers shown, seller is not saying 'or best offer', pretty rock solid on the pricing and no trade... so the story matches.

I would meet the seller at the said AD (preferably) or at another AD near by, check the seller's ID and see if it matches the invoice name, authenticate the watch by the AD, and if all checks out, would gladly buy the watch with no issues.

I would always also do a hand written bill of sales type of a receipt for any high priced item, regardless of whether I am the buyer or the seller. I ask the seller (or the buyer) to write down their name, and in this case, would include the serial number of the watch and seller's drivers license number or similar, on the bill of sales, agreeing to the price and date of sales. Just another step to protect yourself against any claims of stolen property and such.
