Well Gil, I cheated and unwound the crowns so that they pointed straight up! Well spotted, though!

Yeah, Kent's a good guy - he's a really earnest bloke and we get along great.

Paul, are you strictly in the market for a big-block, or would the later 792XX series interest you as well? Some parts of the Melbourne market are slow to catch up with current Tudor chrono prices, and it's not too difficult to find one here at a decent price.

I would prefer the big block but am open to the 792XX at the right price.

It one of a small few that I have me eye out for in '08.

I just spotted a 79270 with the same dial as mine going for A$4000. I figure I could knock the price down a bit because the guys there don't really know what they're doing. I was in that store the other day and the lady behind the counter was trying to sell someone a Lady Datejust. She mentioned that the serial number was engraved between the lugs but wasn't sure which side, so I just said, "Six o'clock" and she looked stunned. I figure it'll be easy enough to bargain the price down a bit. Just lemme know when you're ready to pull the trigger.

It's a nice piece to be sure, Allan, but I doubt it would get any wrist time. I had it delivered to my office and the first thing I did was resize it and put it on, and it really clashed with my suit.

Seriously, there's a parking space reserved in my watch winder for a GMT-IIC. If I do get a Black Monster, it's going to have to wait its turn while I get a bigger watch winder.

Oh well...if it's between the GMT-IIC and a Black Monster, the GMT is the winner - hands down!!!

Besides, there's only so many times I want to answer that "What did you get another watch for?" question.

Ain't that the truth. Most don't understand the obsession. My wife thinks; "It's just a ----ing watch".

Pity the unlearned .

Now that is a serious watch collection. Those things look like they mean business. Very nice!

Thanks, Mike! There's just something about stainless steel - it's graceful and tough at the same time.

Cheers, Bo. I'm still trying to get a hang of this blooming camera - I'll get there some day.
