Have to be honest. I love the 114060.
I also love the 124060. And the 14060. |

Funny nobody here will mention that the GMT case is still basically like an 11 series Sub case. And nobody seems to think it is a mistake. Especially when they will pay almost double MSRP for a stainless steel BLRO. Oh the irony.

The most successful 'mistake' in watch history. Subtle differences, but I prefer the 11' series with its slightly more muscular look. To me, it has a surety of line which has been slightly lost now - a bit like a well-designed car which gets a mid-cycle refresh and loses something in the process. But all Subs are nice watches - some prefer particular references, others like them all. What I don't understand is this burning desire by some to 'prove' that their personal opinion is fact.

I like both, I liked the bigger lugs and I like the 1680 shape as well.
The TT LN Sub worked better with bigger lugs IMO. The SS with the slimmer ones. The 'maxicase' was more masculine and the Instagram crowd with fake tan, pouty lips and big diamond earrings (I'm talking about the men) seem to prefer the more feminine look, so the more svelte profile has been welcomed. |

Very good review I always thought Rolex was trying to get into that oversized look and now it’s to blocky. Just not aesthetically pleasing.

Obviously a mistake. It’s still too chunky.

To me the biggest difference isn't the lugs, but the bracelet and clasp. And the wider bracelet and lack of taper is definitively NOT a good thing for me. I've had many watches with 21mm bracelets, and many without taper, and it has never, ever, worked.
That said, I'd be very happy to own one still. I just wish I got a 114060 before discontinuation.

You're probably right.
As long as it has Rolex on the dial, they're set In this watch market with the way it has been in recent times, Rolex could put some dodgy movement into a piece of dried cat shite, then call it a watch and sell it to people lining up around the corner to spend loads of cash just to get on "the list". |

For me it was essential as I had a DSSD and an Omega 45 at the time and the Sub looked so small and dainty otherwise, so it helped with me transitioning to a collection of 40-45mm.

Furthermore this serious part looks like a promo for -only- the new"12" generation. This dancer forgot to talk about all the complaints regarding the new movements and the costs it will bring after the warranty is expired.....
