I'm finding that what they sell for is different from what they're listed. Typical is advertised between $19,000-21,000, but actual sell price is somewhere closer to $18,000. Still a premium over MSRP, but less "lift" in contrast to the Daytona C when first released.

Sure looks like some ADs struck fast to move some to the grey market hoping they and the greys would cash in on the initial hype.

I tried one on at an AD event - Sweeeet!

What a comfortable watch.

Prices will be high in the UK for a long time - IF we get to see one in the wild.

It's a most complicated watch from Rolex and have a dual time and annual calendar.
The SS YM II have only a chrono for 10 min and list price are with 3000 more then SS SKY Dweller. I think the MRSP price will rise in next 2-3 year and the price list will be minimum equally with SS YM II!!!
Rolex will not spend his most complicated movement with a cheap price!
We will see Rolex strategy. IMO Rolex have 2 options:
Rise price with minimum 50% in the next 2 years OR
Will delivered a minimum supply at a high demand market and the price will rice like Daytona C.

I was speaking to a store manager recently (relatively a small store). He said he would expect the SS Sky Dweller to be a more sought after than the ceramic Daytona. He said a Rolex rep had told him supply of the SS Sky Dweller would be limited than the ceramic Daytona. He said he had more than 100 people on both on his waiting list and "waiting list" for the SS Sky Dweller.

There are charging nearly 80% premium for the SS Sky Dweller which is higher than the premium they charge for the ceramic Daytona

Just my 1.5p/2c
Exactly right! I think if the sd43 was closer to 40-41, it would drive a bigger following. I have zero interest, just too big for me.

When Will SS Sky-Dweller Price Return to Earth?

I hadn't realized they'd ever been down to earth unless purchased at an AD.

I was mesmerized by the idea of the SkyDweller, but I've come to the sad conclusion that 41mm (the size of my Tudor Black Bay) is about the maximum for me. 40mm is better.

I got to try a steel blue face version at my AD in Toronto last weekend. They had just received it in their shipment a few days earlier, so I figured I'd give it a go. It's a very nice watch, though it does feel a little like a Datejust that forgot to say "when".

I'm not sure about right now, but it wasn't spoken for when I put it on last Sunday. I guess the feeding frenzy isn't affecting us as much up here in the great white north.

By the way, that same AD has a gorgeous tuxedo dial DJ36 just sitting there in the display cabinet. When did Rolex last produce that dial, out of curiosity? It's very striking in person, and if I wasn't already spoken for with another watch...

100 people?? let's say the store get 4 watches a year. It take 25 years to fill that list!!! Find that a little hard to believe.

How many of that 100 are in name only for the waiting list and won't really pull the trigger when they get the call?

Well, I think 80% of the people will pull the trigger on a Ceramic Daytona if they have enough limit on their credit cards (even with no cash). maybe 30% will keep the watch. The other 50% will buy to flip it.
10% just don't want to bother with it. 10% just don't have the money.
