Thanks. I really appreciate it. I could have looked it up on their website I suppose. :) Anyway, that’s great because I always find the best fitting watches to be on bracelets with some sort of micro adjustments. I never like how watches on a leather or rubber strap fit on me. Seems like they’re always either too loose or too tight and never perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That is your opinion. IMHO the Daytona on strap is a beautiful watch, and the only way to get ceramic on PM without going platinum or the Le Mans.
That being said, personally I am not comfortable wearing a full gold piece daily, but the strap/ceramic really come together nicely and dare I say somewhat low key. I also happen to love how chronographs on straps just work. That being said, something does not rub me right about the Sky Dweller, I think that should have stayed on leather, but the Daytona and YM truly rock my world! |

There's no way I could wear a Sky D on other than the OF bracelet. I'm really happy to have this alternative as well as a significant reduction in cost of $7K.

40k for Daytona on OF? What prices are you looking at? OF is a significant discount over their full PM counterparts. With that being said, I believe OF is a great option for certain models... Daytona & YM in particular. Personally, I love OF so much that I have also converted my sub to OF. Lots of compliments on that setup. |

A gold watch with rubber strap doesn't really look nice

Remember the OF is not a rubber strap. It’s a titanium blade covered in polymer bracelet. It’s much more rigid and solid than your typical “rubber” strap. For me i own some of the most iconic watches but the oysterflex with the glide lock is hands down the most comfortable and best bracelet watch i have ever owned.

Own a Meteorite GMT (white gold) and a Chocolate Daytona (rose gold), I much prefer wearing the Oysterflex due to the weight/durability and aesthetics on the Everose gold model.
Precious metal is HEAVY and scratches super easy. Oysterflex makes all the sense in the world. |

just no.
Clasp is comically oversized for a rubber strap and a Daytona should just be on a strap period |

Aesthetically, I think the OF on a PM piece looks amazing. I could see them working really well for travel. It’s amazing to me how beat up watches get … banging on luggage, digging around in bags looking for passports, getting on and off crowded flights… etc. A PCL PM bracelet would just get thrashed.

The perception around rubber is similar to white gold. Why buy a white gold watch, it looks like stainless? I paid 3x more for something that looks the same? Same with rubber, I paid $15k or $35k for this watch on rubber? Looks cheap. You can buy an $30 rubber strap and it’ll be the same.
This is what I thought earlier in my collecting journey. Now, I don’t care about that. The OF makes my Daytona the most comfortable watch I have. After you’ve gone through a bunch of rubber straps from various manufacturers as well as the aftermarket ones, you realize that Rolex just does it better. I like the stealth of white gold and rubber, I buy the watch for me. Not to say I don’t like the design and look of a full rose gold watch like the CHNR, it’s a beautiful piece. But it’s loud and blingy; sometimes I want that but most of the time I don’t. I don’t need to justify to the world I spent $40k by walking around with that bling, it’s enough that I know myself and I did so because I want to pay for the details (like the perfect rubber bracelet). |

Although I do not own a PM Oysterflex Rolex model I approve of the look on all of them. Adds a very spirty look I think. I liked it enough to source an OEM pair for my 116500 along with Smarty endlinks.
I do wish it was an option for most of the lines, offering it only on a handful of PM models is a typical Rolex marketing oddity. |

Always buy the steel or gold bracelet and then add any rubber or leather strap. Imo.

I wouldn’t put the OF on every watch, but when it’s right, it’s really good. For example, the 40mm YM on OF is

I love the OF. With that said, I wouldn’t want all of my PM watches to be OF, but it’s nice to have one in the collection.

I wear my full PM bracelet Daytona and sometimes find myself envying the OF variant. The full bracelet is a lot of fun to wear, but I think that the OF could be a bit better overall for daily wear. It's definitely a lot more under the radar and overall is a more hardy watch with the ceramic bezel 2/3 the bracelet not being exposed to scratches.
That said, I think if I ever did go OF, I'd have to get a variant with the glidelock! |

Yellow gold on black rubber is my all-time favourite configuration.
It's so ... irreverent. Of course you *shouldn't* mix a precious metal with a much cheaper rubber material, but ... that's the whole point. That wonderful contrast. It's iconoclastic fun. It's drinking Budweiser from crystal. Painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa. Playing Beethoven's Fifth on electric guitars. I just love it. |

Right now, my focus is Patek; I like the aquanaut on rubber, and it can be had for around 55-65K. When i think about spending 30-35K on an OF Daytona, i remind myself i'm halfway to aquanaut, or a third of the way to a nautilus on metal
One day, i'll get an OF daytona, but i need to explore other brands first.

I like it and think it works well on some models, like the YM and SkyD but I'll always prefer a full bracelet.
