Ehh, it’s OK. That’s about all I can muster for these models - same amount of energy as Rolex put into them. It’s as if they forgot to do their homework and put something together in the car on the way to school.

The new model actually looks like a fake rip off of the hulk.

However I've not seen a good picture so could be wrong.

The Kermit existed before the hulk did..

I'm fully aware.

Considering it looks the exact same bezel colour..

If they made it the same shade as the original kermit then you'd have a point.

I’ll be very disappointed if that bezel is the same as I hated the first one.. For them to develop a larger version of the sub insert and not even update the color would be weak at best.

The hulks emerald dial is very unique and special. A superbly fun watch.

That said I have been beating the drum for years that the submariner didn’t look right with the super case and they finally did something about it so I would have to take the new one.

It’s definitely a more restrained design which some might find boring coming from the 116610lv but I find it right on.

I love Hulk, I've been wearing my brother's occasionally for a few years and it's phenomenal. But, this new Kermit with these proportions is just next level tbh. So my vote clearly goes to Kermit but I love Hulk as well and those who are lucky to have one will enjoy it even more now that it's discontinued.

I like both. I wonder if Rolex will still have remaining stock of Hulks trickle in to ADs over the next few months or whether they are fully depleted and they are all gone?

I think they did a good job with this update. The case looks great and I'm quite sure it won't wear any bigger given the trimmed lugs. Keep in mind the look of these green ceramic bezels change quite significantly with different lighting, I don't think that first picture of the new model does the colour justice.

That said, the green dial is the best part of the hulk for me - so I won't be too envious of those with the new model!

Unless I'm missing the fine details somewhere about the green bezel the executives at Rolex must be celebrating their creativity on how they've discontinued the 116610LV and are using its green bezel supply chain and spare bezel bin for the 126610LV.

And saving manufacturing costs by only now having to make a single black dial. It seems a cheap move in my opinion.

There’s no way to know how the new Kermit looks until you see it in person. Here’s a shot of mine from Feb 2004. I sure wish I still had this one.

The Hulk bezel is dull and it appears this is continued with the new release.
I would have liked the new release to have the green sunburst dial with a black bezel.

Love the idea of a green bezel with a black dial but agree with many others on here that they should have gone with deeper green. Maybe they will silently alter the shade of green over the next months or years like they did with the ceramic pepsi until they get it right.

Always thought the dial on the Hulk was a beauty. The issue with that is the dial didn't match up with the bezel. I don't understand why they didn't "correct" the bezel color for this release. Disappointing

Must be something with the Cerachrom that they just can’t get rich deep colours. They all come out looking pastel and washed and just looks cheap to me on a luxury watch. For that reason black will always look the best it seems

Which is exactly why think Rolex nailed it on the new Subs, both on the Kermit and the WG models.

but i think they managed to make the blue in the blnr quite deep and vibrant - perhaps it's specific colours not within the black spectrum

I'm obviously biased, but the Cermit does nothing for me. Had they kept the sunburst dial and this would've been a Hulk 2.0, I would 100% have felt it would've been an upgrade and I think the Hulk would've tanked in value.

That being said, I'm happy to have my Hulk and I'm happy they released the Cermit so that I don't have to want it! The sunbust dial makes the watch. Seems like an odd decision to me to keep the bezel and drop the dial; but as a Hulk owner, I'm happy!

the original Kermit came with FIRSTS , no lug hole case, maxi dial, green bezel , AND celebrated 50th of Submariner.

the new Kermit is just a basic Sub date with green bezel. : MEH

Will definitely need to see the new one in the metal. Based on the limited images/info available:

Between the two, I think the color scheme looks better on the Hulk
Between the two, I think the proportions look better on the Ceramic Kermit (“Cer-mit”?)

With that said, currently I would probably prefer the original Kermit over the recent green ceramic offerings. Congrats in advance to those who anticipate incomings!

Wristshots don't show much when the prat taking them does so on the wrong wrist. How annoying.
I've always thought the green gold dial on the hulk was to divert attention from the fat lugs and pastel bezel. This watch didn't need it as much.
