I had a fountain pen and a gold rollerball in a Montblanc leather carry case. It got lost Now I always use the pen clip to clip the pen inside my top pocket. The 146 LeGrand fountain pen with double broad oblique is just right for me, and green ink. |

A pen is as necessary as a watch.
Whether you are the Bic type or like something with a bit more savoir-faire, they are not going away anytime soon. This Mont Blanc has been my daily for several years. It's with a couple of Colibri's and a pair of 70 year old Sheaffers, my Grandfathers daily pens. |

I would love a nice pen but I lose my pens everyday.
Can you get a Mont Blanc with a SS fliplock bracelet.

Document Marker
I have 2 Mont Blanc ball points, one black and one in what was called "Bordeaux" basicall a light burgundy color which may be discontinued now. I also have what MB calls a "Document Marker", a fancy name for a hi-liter. I use it quite a bit though. What would be nice is if I could convert it to a fountain pen but I don't think I can, don't have much use for one anyway but would like to have one.

I have one, awaiting transfer of ownership to my daughter. It has served me well, through thick and thin.

LV with Cool Blue Starwalker
A photo of my Montblanc cool blue Starwalker (rollerball) with my LV. I never thought I would spend $400 USD for a pen.

Years ago liked Mont Blanc....still have a monster Meisterstuck....like that Beast that you see on the Hitler channel when he is signing things with his shaven headed crazy partners in psychosis. Then I found a better German product....Pelikan. I have 2 Pelikan fountan pens, and they are wonderful. Piston filled with great action and suction. Great nib. Light and wonderful to write with. I still use the Hitler pen for signing giant contracts and when I wish to be melodramatic or scare clients away. LOL

Well, after you spend over $5000 for a watch, $300-$400 for a pen or nice pocket knife does not seem like that much!!!! LOL LOL LOL

I have two Montblancs, both from the Meisterstuck range. I bought a 146 and liked it so much I bought a 149 a short time later. It is a pre-reunification version from the late 80s-early 90s that has "W Germany" on the cap band. The 149 goes almost everywhere with me.
I am also a Pelikan fan and have several, new and old.

At present, I'm at around 24 or so Montblanc pens. My EDC is a Montblanc 149 vintage 1960's era (immaculate condition) with a fine point nib. Beautiful pen.

Wow, crazy old post. I do love my MontBlancs, but I love all pens. Some of my favorite are my $45 Lamy Fountain pens.

I think MB resins are a bit better made than they were back in the 90s.
I dropped one on a cement floor from waist level and it shattered. MB fixed it for free. Since then I have dropped several of mine on hard surfaces and no issues.
