I'm about to make the rounds to a couple of jewelry stores. I would appreciate any sincere not snarky advice before I leave in the next 20 minutes.
Thanks again. |

OK....didn't want to put too much number info out since it would give counterfeiters a number to use..mine is f25xxxx
supposedly F series between 2003-2005 looked like this... https://www.bobswatches.com/pre-owne...num-16622.html pay attention to the colours and how the lettering is lined up...looks the same to me. EDIT: I'm gonna leave pretty soon so will find out. hoping for the best.Seems to have been made in 2004 so need to compare similar rather than being shunted to looking at 2009+/11622s are there are some manufacturing variances and whatnot. well...I'm off...wish me luck! |

You've posted 28 times and gotten similar responses across the board.
Some are very skeptical that it is authentic based on the pictures and others have said go to watchmaker. I'd recommend finding one, going, and not thinking about until then. You mentioned you purchased on a CC - get a report stating it is a fake, and ask for a refund. If the refund isn't issued instantly, dispute the charge and you should be okay. |

100% FAKE. There are many things wrong that are easy to tell for those who know what they're looking at. I wouldn't waste another minute delaying the return or starting the credit card dispute.

As a pre-owned buyer I'm not ashamed to admit I keep up to date with what the fake factories are churning out. From the pics your bezel in particular the easiest tell is textbook fake factory (Which I won't name). Sorry.

Don't you just love the fact that people with fake watches, are also incapable of taking a picture square on to the dial.

Apparently OP is at an AD getting the watch authenticated. I already called it fugazi.

I'll admit, when Mon asked for a picture of the movement and he posted this, I almost spit my drink all over my computer.
With that being said, clearly he isn't a WIS and certainly is loaded with anxiety. He was obviously taken, prob for something around $5-$6k when he thought he was getting a deal. If it was a wire scam, I wouldn't say anything outside of my typical advice, you need to do your DD. In this case, he did put it on his CC, so outside of aggravation, he should be okay. Hopefully, also a lesson learned for the OP and anyone else buying from a shady source. |

Just educating the noobs. The ones who actually want a Rolex and not a watch box full of this garbage.

Not sure. If he paid with CC he must have purchased it from a merchant, or through PP. The CC/PP will make sure he doesn't get stiffed. Now if he paid bank wire, that would explain the desperate tone.

Give the guy a break.. Not everyone is a watch expert for crying out loud.. The member is genuinely concerned he bought a fake so the last thing we should do is make it worse on him. Educate him rather than throwing more logs on the damn fire.
To OP. As MonBK stated. The movement will tell you all you need to know. Now what that won't tell you is if aftermarket parts have been used on the watch. That will take further investigation. |

If it’s an older model with no rehalt engraving, it should not have the blue lume as you described in post #8

He's around somewhere. His course of action should have been reimbursement ASAP. Sorry guys but a lot of posts here have been more hindrance than help. The YM heads should have got to him sooner.. Myself included. Fingers crossed for the guy.

To me it just seems as though he was trying to see if we would notice it was fake, before he wears it out on a date.

All his posts are from within a few minutes this morning. He hits a number of random topics—all non-watch related. He gets to 10 posts then heads over here and all of a sudden he’s got this sense of urgency about his watch.
Also, he used “colours” instead of “colors” but claims to be an American living in NYC who thinks Miller Lite is the best beer ever. Then he lurks back here and doesn’t provide an update. He could be telling the truth... |
