Both stunning pieces.... love the rolled bezel on the OP

Thanks. Next for me will be a mint DJ 36, or the Wimbledon dial. I’m still undecided.

Since you're a self-admitted hoarder, if you feel the urge to thin out the herd, I'm only at the other end of the state :) Burritos on me in exchange for your Exp.

Being from Philly, originally, I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, but I’d consider it for a Pat’s cheesesteak sandwich. Seriously, though, it shouldn’t be too hard to get an Explorer.

I am leaning toward the mint. I might tire of the Wimbledon.

We were just in PHL visiting my brother & his fiancee. They live on Market & are big history buffs/vintage watch nerds. There's a great place here in SD called Giorginos that have the best cheesesteaks around.

We had the second best pizza I've eaten in my life at Angelos on S 9th. It was a 99/100 for me.

What about Angelos was so good? I have not been to that one. 9th was so crowded last time I was there... and the parking nitemare has kept me from
going whenever I am in town.

I actually grew up in the suburbs, but spent lots of time in the city,,going to professional sports games, concerts, bars, etc. Best pizza I ever found was from a place called Tony’s, which was in Northeast Philly. There were lines out the door, and down the block on Friday and Saturday night.

Not my picture: https://www.actuallytasty.com/wp-con...s_1350x900.jpg

Their "upside down" pizza is just about as perfect as it gets IMO (hence my 99/100). The crust was risen perfectly with excellent chew & gluten development. The cheese was part charred & part melt. The sauce (uncooked prior to baking) was not too sweet & not too tangy. This is the second best pizza I've had in my life. My #1 is L&B Spumoni Gardens' square pies. If you're adventurous & a public transportation fanatic, you can take a series of trains between the two with minimal walking. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Ange...!3e3?entry=ttu

Cheese is underneath, on this Tony’s Tomato Pie:

So good! This discussion is making me homesick. At least I got to see my Birds win last night, in what I considered a pretty ugly game.

I never been to Tonys.... But there are great places to eat in the Northeast. I'll remember that place for another visit.

It’s very popular in Trenton, NJ, also, where I lived with my second husband, who was 100% Italian, and knew the best places to eat. God rest his soul…) . Best pizza there was from DiLorenzo’s, which has since moved to a better area, nearby. For me, a close second to Tony’s. There were lines around the block, for this place, too. The sauce on top of the cheese, again. Good stuff!

I would be happier if they made a variation with 369 numerals.

That one is sweet, but The 18 k gold accents make this one more special, than the other colored dials, for me. Also, I have the 3, 6, 9, on my Explorer.

That silver OP with the 3-6-9 is a seriously good-looking watch! When did Rolex change to sticks?

I have an Explorer 36 and LOVE the taper of the clasp. It's 35.5 size and the tapered clasp is perfect, IMHO.

Yeah thats what i thought.

I DO like it on the explorer though..... but THAT is the only watch I think it looks good on. Otherwise.... I think it makes an elegant watch like the OP too sporty and out of place.

I'd vote for mint. I've never been interested in a DJ, and if you asked me if I'd want a mint green dial, that would have been a hard no. That is, until I saw it in person when I picked up my Explorer, and now I really like it. Mint, fluted, jubilee. Some day. But right now I'm looking to add the silver OP36 to my Explorer. We seem to have very similar taste.

Did you ever have the cheesesteak from Chink's Steaks in the NE? I think they recently changed the name to be more politically correct, but 100% the best cheesesteak anywhere, also with lines down the block.

Well, Jeff, it seems we both like classic Rolex styles. I, too, want fluted on jubilee. The plain blue dial is nice, too. I don’t care much for the motif dial. Put your name down at some ADs. Silver OP 36 should be easier to get, than the colored dials. Good luck.

I don't think it should be too long. One of my 2 ADs already offered me the silver OP41 the other day, but I'm holding out for the 36. Then maybe DJ next. It's funny, I've only ever worn no-date Rolex, because I've always been down on the cyclops, but somehow on the DJ it's just right.
