Makes me SO sad that my 16610 is not even 8 years old but has a tiny scratch on the bezel between the 11 & 12 o'clock. :

Precisely David!

What a great looking watch - still in tip top condition after all these years. I hope mine looks that in 21 years time - I know I wont!

After I got my first 40mm Rolex - a SS-Sub Date and reading this forum(learned so much since I joined), I just appreciate Rolex as a brand so much more...

It is Rolex's greatest strength that the designs are so timeless. Only a very well trained eye can tell an older model iteration from a newer one. This is coming up on 21 years:

That's the thing about the really wonderful material things in life - superb design never goes out of style. From the Rolex line to a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck to a Porsche Carrera the great and wonderful things never, ever go out of style.

These watches deserve the status they have.

A quarter of a century old and it still looks like a modern , new ..... TIMELESS watch

A Rolex is built to last, a very rare quality these days. I suspect that even new luxury cars will struggle to last that long with all that cheap plastic.
