i've seen before (easily years, might even be a decade ago), President Bracelets with a "strip" in the middle. i remember i inquired about it before and they said it was tri-color gold? or tri-gold? is this true? from the pics posted, i don't see this kind of bracelet anymore.

That was the "Tridor" line it was yellow, pink and white gold offered on the Day-Date President model (or in ladies case Datejust with President bracelet. I believe Rolex only offers this combination with the Masterpiece series.

Sorry for giving life to an old thread but I just can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I'm hoping someone will know. I's always bugged me. What is the blue-ish line that is in the middle of the centre links? It is on all the Tridor bands but I can't see the reason to why it's there. You can see it quite clearly in the photo below. Thanks.

I would think that this thread would be a "perpetual" thread, especially since it's been made a sticky. I, for one, am glad that it is. I just found info on my 78353-19-457 Oyster band that someone told me is 14K gold, yet it shows here as 18K! Hooray!!!
I would be interested to know about the blue stripe as well...I've never seen one like that. There is a lot of good info here! Pardon my ignorance, but have you tried using alcohol to clean it off? It could be like the blue bristles on a toothbrush that the color eventually disappears and it's time for a new one. Just brainstorming. Perhaps a fashion statement? Looking forward to finding out.

Well, maybe I will kill a cat or two, but...

I believe it is just plain grey (white) gold. The reason for it to be there is not very different from the reason why the other two tones of gold are there.

Hi I’m totally new to this so I hope I’m doing this right…I’ve been researching for a cpl months now an old ladies Tudor watch all original pieces and in working order… stainless steel nothing spectacular but I recently discovered on the underside of the first link I’ll call it a very tiny stamp and it’s clear… JB CHAMPION … my jewler told me that it was probably not the original band but after reading in a cpl forums I’m not sure now?? Can anyone shed some light on this? There is also no numbers on casing n no numbers inside or on the bridge but been told it’s definitely a true Tudor!! Thanx in advance to anybody who has any insight …

Regarding jubilee bracelet do you know when Rolex changed the clasp ??

Basicaly the 6251h (folded jubilee) was equiped with big crown clasp and later 62510H (non folded clasp ; introduced in 1975) was equiped with a classic clasp).
We can find quite a lot of 6251H with "classic buckle" do you know when exactly Rolex started to put classic buckle on the 6251H ?
