On small wrists, I reckon the 41 wears better than the jumbo. 37 looks perfect on you. 41 is borderline comical imo, but presents a sportier look, while the 37 looks more dapper. |

No way in a million years is the 37mm too small for you.

Of course it's not too small, but if you are not happy with it now you probably never will be...

The Vaucher movement family on which the Vaucher-made 34mm and 37mm RO movements are based doesn't have a screw-down crown. I guess they could have redesigned it, but apparently didn't feel the need to do so.

The 41mm doesn't look good at all. Way too big.

37mm looks great and 41mm looks too big on your wrist. Seems like your friend is trying to compensate for something by suggesting getting a piece that’s too big.

It really depends on your taste. Do you like oversized watches, perfect fit watches or smaller sized watches. I’m in my smaller watches phase so 37mm on my 18cm wrist is exactly what I want and have.
For you with 16.5cm wrists the 41mm looks huge and oversized and the 37mm a perfect fit. Your friend probably likes oversized watches, hence the comment. But the question seems extra strange as you have a vintage 36mm DJ and DD, which wear a lot smaller than the Royal Oak. The 15550 wears more like a 39mm Rolex, so I guess you just let your friend get into your head as you actually like the size. |

Yes the 37mm RO wears larger than the 1601 and 1803 for sure. In fact i feel it’s a size between my 126710BLRO & the vintage DD/DJ. The more I wear it, the more I’m loving it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Didn’t read the comments but 37 looks great, 41 looks too big. With a 3 hander, there is a lot of open dial space on the 41, so smaller looks nicer IMO

AP 15550ST 37mm- honest opinions
I have previously owned the 37mm 15450 and always had the nagging doubt in my mind that it was too small on my 16.5cm wrists. I’m used to 40mm Rolex subs/gmt’s and the AP 15450 just didn’t have enough presence. As someone else mentioned earlier the 37mm bracelet has a strong taper. Ended up selling it.
Recently bought 39mm 15300 and feels much better on the wrist, a bit more heat to it and a wide bracelet…all adds up to it fitting the wrist better. I have not tried on a 41mm RO, but given the way the 39mm fits think the 41mm would be too big. 37mm 15450 39mm 15300 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's nice but I think the 15300 (39mm) would fit what you're looking for. More wrist pressence than the 37 while not gigantic and chunky like the 41.

The Jumbo (including 15300) has the lugs much flare out, makes it wear a lot larger than it is, even comparable with the 15500. Looking at it, 15500 may wear more comfortable than the 39mm. |

I also think a 39mm might fit better, comes with a bigger dial too? I had blue 15450 and I remember the dial/crystal size was smaller than a 36mm DJ, but grey dial does make it better though?

It’s the 37mm for sure. The 41 looks way too big in my opinion. The bracelet definitely adds to the appearance of the watch so ‘less is more’ when it comes to sizing (again, IMO)

yes. The minimum distance between the top and bottom of the watch bracelet is further apart in the jumbo than the 41mm. Even if the 41mm might look large on a smaller wrist, it at least can fit snug. Some smaller wrists wearing the jumbo will always have play because of the extra wrist width needed

The 37mm RO fits perfectly on your wrist. Furthermore, iMO it is a more beautiful and balanced watch than the 41mm RO which I find huge. Where the 15510 does win is the caliber AP4302 which is much nicer than the Vaucher on the 15550.
