Three services. I had the 31 mm first serviced at the Rolex service center in Los Angeles in the late 1980's. At that time the bill was something like $250 and it took several weeks for my watch to find its way back to me.
Then in 2000 I brought the 31 mm to an AD in Santa Rosa, CA for service. The 2000 service replaced the bracelet and acrylic lens, and whatever else. The 2000 service bill was about $1,600.
Finally in 2020 the AD sent the 31 to the service center, I think, in Houston for an overhaul. New acrylic crystal, winding stem, and general re-do. This time the bill was $965 and because of Covid the 31 was away for six months.
BTW, regarding my new 34mm Date, when I went to take delivery I told the AD that I never pay retail. But guess what? I paid retail. But spreading the cost out over the next forty years (see my original post) it’s only $1.90 per day (how’s that for rationalization?)
