You can only pick one, which do you take? Numbers don’t lie.
The 116500 body is too dirty in your photo.
Maybe the numbers don't lie, but you can control which way the numbers tend to go in the photo.
Therefore, these votes are not fair.

This. I had the chance to compare my 116500 side by side with a 126500 at the Wynn Boutique in Las Vegas. The changes are so subtle I don’t see a case for me waiting on another one.

I agree. The outer ring on the new bezels don’t seem to make a major difference in the watches overall appearance. I have the old model 116500 and I’m totally satisfied with it!

I am DEFINITELY in the 116500 camp! The differences are so subtle that one needs to compare side by side to tell the difference. But the one thing that was a major downgrade is the ceramic insert vs the previous ceramic block bezel - I so much prefer the thick ceramic bezel!

Having tried both, for black I'd go with 126500. And I will try to do so with my AD.

the 116500 looks more symmetrical to me as it has slimmer lugs on the crown side design. also I don't like the new steel bezel ring which gives me the tudor, omega vibes. 116500 black is my choice.

i can definitely see why most wouldn't swap their 116500 out for a 126500 - the differences on that level don't warrant the "upgrade" really.

but if you were looking to buy grey, I think I'd want the new version, personally.

I wouldn’t call it dirty - just more of a reality shot… the watch has been worn.

The photos are pretty representative. The 126 looks slightly too busy with the outer bezel and the thin subdials. It won’t age as gracefully. I think it photographs well due to natural contrast (with the steel rim). Something that helps with a still image but doesn’t impact a real-life impression.

I still prefer the 116 in photos but only slightly. I prefer the 116 over the 126 as worn, however. It has better balance, looks more elegant… the busyness of the 126 borders on kitsch. Not really, but a bit too much going on.

Having said that, I’d take the 126 at retail over the 116 at secondary. But at equal price, I’d always get the 116…

the only difference that stood out for me is the smaller markers are nicer on the 12.
id be more than happy with either.
