How do you pen collectors perceive Visconti pens? I bought one based on its looks(maxi VanGogh demonstrator) but have not researched Visconti versus other makes.

First - beautiful pens! I'm going to have to get a few.
Second - every time I quickly scan the new posts page, I think the title says something else :( and I don't want to look lol |

They are pretty "new" only established in the late 80's but their prices are good. The only thing I don't like is that their clips are a bit too "flexible" that it doesn't stay in the "middle". See the snaps attached. On one the clip is pointing left and the other point right. This is, as I was told, something that they can't fix because their clip is designed to be "movable". Other than this, I can't flaw their pens. Writes well, looks good and good prices! |

The Italian pens are very underrated in my opinion. The Deltas, Omas, a Visconti's are incredible in their detail and the way they use celluloid is second to none. Good stuff!

Here is a sample from a Montblanc 149 with a stub nib using Parker Quink Blue.
Someone had asked me for a sample. I love the ink shading / variations in this sample.

Even when I take my time to write legibly, it looks like chicken scratch!
I'll stick to using mine for signatures.
