I was at my local AD this weekend and an out-of-towner was in trying to find an Explorer or something else, and the SA helping him (who was being extremely friendly, and took a fair amount of time to talk with him and show him watches, even though he clearly didn't have anything to sell him) explained that they are actually seeing more Subs than stuff like Explorers, Milgaus, etc. right now, so anecdotally there seem to be some Subs making their way through the market.

And as an aside, and to prove not all ADs are jerks (contrary to what you might read on here), the SA even let him down easy when the bro asked if they could mail him an Explorer if one ever came in...

It makes sense that the new Subs are being sent out more than the other models. I would assume they ramped up production on that model since its a nice release and demand would have a spike after launch. I wonder once the dust settles, if manufacturing will go back to a more split batch and the subs will not be as plentiful?

Then again what do I know about Rolex manufacturing.

Plus they were flushing through the prior reference Subs leading up to the release, so it has really seemed like a flood of Subs the last few months since things started moving again.
