That is truly a remarkable example. I was curious how much of it remained original, but it's pretty wild to think that the dial, hands, and especially bezel and bracelet are still the originals. I'm quite glad they didn't put a sapphire on it.

Meanwhile, here I am anxious about wearing my NOS 16610 from 2002. Obviously nowhere near as vintage as your 1655, but I still tend to not take it as often as some of my other watches for obvious (and relatable, I'm sure) reasons.
