Was looking at a Chocolate Dial DJ 41 Fluted/Jubilee however the Rose Gold Version of this caught my eye. Agree $18K is steep, but with a little patience believe $15.5K will be right around the corner. I already have the Blue DJ 41 and a 3861 S.S.

Not sure aesthetically which is better.

I got a chance to try on the Moonshine version at the OB in Vegas. I liked it a lot! The brushed Moonshine on the bracelet is not over powering and the dial looks very classy. I have the white dial on order but might cancel and go with this. Just not sure I can justify the cost.

Just slapped on the Moonshine. That’s a really nice piece. Think it looks a bit better in person (I find myself saying that a lot about Omega….the Summer Blue PO is freakin awesome in person, too)

And why shouldn’t they. They have been for decades because it’s one of the best and most iconic chronographs ever made. If they didn’t bring out new models people would say they’re being boring, not innovating, not bringing anything new to the market, etc., but when they do people hit them on that as well. I think they’ve done a good job at bringing new iterations to the market while simultaneously remaining true to the core design elements that make the Speedmaster the Speedmaster.

This is off topic, but I'd like to add that the Speedmaster (Professional) is the only watch that I can think of that looks almost 100% identical now as it did when is was released.

The Subs, GMTs, Datejusts, etc look similar to their originals, but have indeed changed over time for better or worse (41mm sub??). Even the Explorer looks different than when it was first released, The Speedmaster is largely the same with some improvements to the movement that cannot be seen.

The Speedmaster is an icon.
