You are right. This is a little known fact, but it only applies in the Northern hemisphere. In the Southern hemisphere, you must wear the watch on your left hand for best results.

Look under the winding Q and A paragraph on winding , the guy states the watch is best on the right wrist.

No,no you guys have got it all wrong! Check your Rolex booklet in the small print it clearly states that you should always wear your watch on your right wrist when using a glass hammer or decorating with tartan paint!!!

North of the equator:
Right wrist.
If you wear it on your left wrist, walk backwards or east.

South of the equator:
Left wrist.
If you wear it on your right wrist, walk backwards or west.

At either of the poles:
All watches will fail except the explorer.
