Nice photo's.
The submariner is my favourite model. I am looking to buy one, but cannot decide on the LV or the regular black bezel date model. I think the LV is a bit more eye catching and the green is a bit different, and i much prefer the maxi hour markers and the larger minute hand - but im not sure if the green will go out of fashion over the years and the black bezel would be a safer bet? I'd be interested to hear the opinions of fellow sub fans. Im new to this site so excuse my crude use of terms! |

You should probably try the different models on and see which you like best.

I'm new to this site and am trying to research my watch. I've owned my gold and stainless Submariner since 1992. The serial number begins with an "X." I have no paperwork for the watch, just a 2008 appraisal done at the Rolex jeweler.) I have it regularly cleaned and polished.
My question is this: how do I ascertain the model number (at least I assume these are models numbers) of my watch? I see references to 16610, 16613, etc. and their relationship to weight and jewels, but is there an easy way to find out what my watch is? Can anyone tell just by looking at a photo? Thanks for any information you can give me. |

Remove the bracelet. The model number is stamped on the watch, at the 12 or 6 position

my first rolex
i've bought my first rolex last sept. 6, and of course its a long time dream a sub. i chose SUBMARINER LV, v series, with the rolexrolexrolex engraving at the rehaut. i really like the green bezel signigfying the 50th anniversary of this wonderful watch. i also love the black maxi dial , which makes it easy for me to tell the time because of the big hands and green dots that exudes in the black dial. i also have a Tudor Hydronaut, the one with the black carbon fiber dial and black bezel. when i bought this, i said to myself that sub will be my next watch... and thanks God i am wearing it right now. im looking forward on my next crown, it maybe a YM platinum or Submariner bluesy TT, whatever it is only TIME can tell.

I just bought my first Rolex, after spending about four hours at the dealer over two days.
At first I was sceptical of the more royal blue, not to mention the gold, compared to what I've been wearing for the last 13 years, a titanium Eco-Drive with navy dial. I am quickly getting used to it. 091029 W2.jpg 091029 W3.jpg I was surprised to not find any etching on the glass, or any markings on the back of the case, and also that the bracelet squeaks. Should I be concerned? This was a bit of an impulse purchase, which is uncharacteristic for me. Before I purchased my latest car I spent a year trolling forums, and another couple months lamenting over options and colors. |

There is the standard etching on the glass at 6 O'clock. However there are no markings or holographic stickers on the V series. I am yet to see a counterfeit 2010 V Sub TT |

Why are the 'RED' subs so much more expensive? What is the difference between those and the non-Red model?
I'm just learning about the Subs, and haven't been able to figure this one out! Thanks, Jason |

All the 14060M Subs are COSC these days. For a
2 line/nonCOSC you'll have to find a pre-owned 14060.
