I feel the same way fwiw. I can’t justify the WG black dial when there is a SS black dial.

I do have the meteorite dial and love it, but I would tell the OP that the blue dial version is imo, the a very good value. If you love the meteorite dial (like I do) get that one but if you are on the fence between blue and meteorite, I’d say just save 10 grand or so and get the blue dial. It is a very nice watch.

It’s plenty legible. Not as legible as a black dial Sub, but it’s legibility issues are greatly exaggerated. I hope no one passes on a meteorite dial for this reason.

Ahh got it. I had to pay a little extra to keep the black dial but it was nominal. Only way they would do it was with a full service to the watch also. All in it ran around $1500 with tax for the service and dial swap.

In photos it doesn’t look like the same hue as the bezel and clashes. Does it look different in real life?

Great question. In this photo they look off. For some reason photos pick up more of the purple in the bezel. In real life the blues are pretty spot on. If I remember right Rolex redesigned the blue between the very short lived 116719blro and the current 12 model.
