Why have it at all if it’s just going to be hidden away? It’s a much more wearable watch than what you had, in my opinion. Well done.

Wear it!! If it was truly NOS, I might hesitate, but it's not. It's actually the best type of vintage Rolex to wear. Excellent original condition, but not so perfect you need to be nervous wearing it. Enjoy!

Nice piece. Congrats. I'd probably have a custom fit pillow sleeve ordered with a plexi crystal though. I would be scared to break it. My wrists have this never ending attraction to door frames.

Haha... same problem? I knocked the second hand off my day date somehow this week. No other damage... and they said only an impact will do that. Cost me a hundred bucks to have it fixed.

For me, it's door knobs in the office on the propped open doors. Can't tell you how many times I walk fast through the door to round the corner cutting it short only to swing and whack my watch into those knobs
