Did you consider a gold Rolex DD before you bought that Santos? I ask because I'm holding out for a DD, I have a steel Santos (one of my dailys) and really considering going for gold Santos.

I did! The yellow gold with white dial DD has been on my list for a while. However, I’m a pretty active member of the Atlanta Watch Society, and I’ve realized that the DD is a very ubiquitous watch. Even outside of that group, I see it on so many wrists around Atlanta, at airport lounges, and whenever I travel for work. I have never seen a solid gold Santos in person. That unique aspect to it plus the general history of the model really put it on my radar. I’m glad I went with this model, as I’ve 1. gotten a lot of compliments, and 2. feel it’s actually even more comfortable on my wrist than a DD. I totally get the likely better value retention with the DD, but I’m not a flipper and chose the watch that spoke more to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
