Sound logic. Bet you’ll put the preorder in before the weekend is done :)

Not sure if it matters but the version on Amazon night not be the Silk bound edition offered on the Wallpaper site as they say:

'The silk-bound first edition is exclusively available to preorder on the WallpaperSTORE'

Though all the details look the same on Amazon so maybe it is!

Should have nice photos but given the author, I would expect the text to be full of mistakes.

For instance he wrote a profile in the WSJ about a tailor shop whose whole style is based around extremely structured clothing where he described their clothing as the opposite.

To be honest, these are really good reads. Before I got my sub, my rep gave me 3 hardcover magazines (that I still own) ....I like the brand but to read the vintage and historical stuff and endeavours was really a eye-opener.

Forgive the question, but silk wrap is... silk lining on the hardback, or simply a sheet of silk wrapping the hardback book?

Thanks for the heads up! As a definitive guide for the Submariner reference I would enjoy reading about the watch and it's history without any erroneous typos and misinformation. While it appears I probably have seen a lot of this on the internet already, it is sometimes hard to determine what is factual. I'll drop a hint to the wife, I have enough socks and ties.

I'm waiting for Rolex to publish a similar book on the history of the GMT-Master.
