I would say on contrary. If the manufacturer believes that their products are perfect, then the warranty would be lifetime. Check Snap-On tools and many more.

if every product is perfect then it will never fail ....no need for warranty....

But when even Patek sometimes don't get it right, making far less watches than Rolex, IMHO Rolex is doing pretty well.

Yup, Rolex is not considered a high-end watch.

One of the great flaws in modern QC is the reliance on machines to spot the flaws. That takes a human eye...just like the customers.

Mark....I am surprised by what you say, through my own watches, meeting hobbyists and buying and selling on, I would say I have had easily 100 Rolex's through my hands, plenty of which I have taken a loupe too, and I have never had one that I, nor anyone I have sold to, have found defective.

To back four Subs, I would say that maybe your expectations were a little high or unreasonable.

A bit unluckily there don’t you think Adam but to be honest although iam not 100% sure out of the 4 I reckon that the AD is to blame for at least three.
The first one a chipped bezel could have been done in the shop they put them in and out every day so it could have fell over and hit another watch
The second it had like a nylon bit on the glass the AD said he could get it out in doing so scratched the back terrible I know it will happen in time but not when you have only had it a day
Third one was defiantly Rolex a mark on the dial. Four maybe the AD again taking a link out maybe he scratches the case you knows but I will have new one in the next few weeks
I still love the watch awesome.

Quality control....it really doesnt matter how much you pay for an item. That is why they give you a warranty.....would you buy anything if they told you "we build it perfect so there is no need for a warranty, so you dont need one!". Dont think so....
A friend of mine bought a new Ferrari, guess what had to take it back to get something fixed.

I bought a recent TT Anniv. GMT II and there is a distortion in the cyclops date window....sh*t happens, I go get it fixed or changed and away we go.
