The pepsi meteorite is so special but it's price is dropping down to near retail on the grey so imo selling 3 would be a big mistake. Maybe sell the Pepsi and Sub and have an amazing 2 piece collection.

Depends on the type of person you are . I had a rotation of 6 watches and I would sometimes find myself not wearing one for 6 months the at a time . I would tend to just pick one and wear it for months on end . I made the decision a few months ago the ago after kicking it around in my head for years . I traded 3 watches for a gold sub plus cash and I’m not looking back , I’ve been wearing the gold sub for 4 months straight with no breaks. I don’t regret the decision at all.

I would find the means to add the 719. Have them all in rotation for a month then decide ?

Nope.
And I have one and love it.
But don’t give up those three for it.

On the "do it" side, you will then get to experience the fun of buying back the three you sold.

I believe you may regret that decision. Having the versatility of those three watches is a dream of many. You will also be able to continue to wear something you love while sending one back to the RSC. God forbid you drop your grail, shatter the crystal and crack the Pepsi bezel, you would have to wait a while before you could wear a watch that means something to you.

I’d keep what you have and if it’s a possibility…. Save for your, “grail.”

I wouldn’t do that. I’d rather rotate between several watches. But that’s me. Do what you want to do.

I’m going against the grain and say go for it. After you get to a certain number in your collection, some watches don’t even leave the safe.

If you like to rotate watches trading 3 for 1 is a really bad idea (especially given the three you have). There's just not enough difference between the stainless Pepsi and the meteorite Pepsi to be worth it. In my opinion anyway.

If you're someone who yearns to wear one watch every day of the year, that's the only way I would consider it.

Btw, I had a hard time reading the time on the meteorite so I moved it on…..
I agree. I would need a 2nd watch at the very least. I too had the Meteorite and found it illegible as well.
The SS BLRO is a favorite so wouldn't be able to give that up.

Normally I would say yes to going for the grail….

But oh man…

That trio’s sum of its part is greater than the whole….

My inclination is no.

If anything, the Daytona and Pepsi should be kind of close to getting you to the gold Pepsi. At the very least, keep the Starbucks.

You end up re-buying the watches you traded towards the grail.

Big mistake

There are some grails, or even just watches we like, that the wrist test disappoints.
The Pepsi meteorite is heavy, real weight on the wrist and you will learn it after the purchase,
2nd point is legibility, or lack of.
These two points will only hit you after the purchase, which is too late.

Thoughts or is this crazy idea? I wouldn't be able to procure a Meteorite while keeping the others.

Generally, I would not, but it’s your decision. I think the meteorite GMT Pepsi will be a strong value retainer, so can’t really go wrong. I would make sure it’s not a boring dial. I like the ones that are very distinguished. Each is after all a 1 of 1 watch due to
That amazing dial!

I would say NO! I have each of the category and the WG Meteorite is a safe queen its heavy for sure way heavier than all the others! but its a Grail 100% and deserves that ranking!

Why not, I think you should just focus on and enjoy the one you want. Even if that’s only for a bit who cares. It’s your wrist, wear the thing you want on it. Personally I think that is a great collection and most folks would be very happy with it. But don’t keep them just because other people, especially on the internet, think it’s great to own all of those.

My last grail watch became a rotation watch after 2 months of ownership. My favorite rotation watch but it’s not quite at the same level as it was prior to obtaining. You currently have a wonderful trio. Play the patience game. Sell the GMT, set the proceeds aside, or trade it towards your grail when you have the funds.

I like this.

can always sell after when your emotionality of the purchase wears off.

I have had more watches than I care to admit that drove me to a frenzy before I bought them and then sometimes hours after purchase I had a change of heart.

Should I sell my collection and get a GRAIL > $50k?

I own and love the meteorite Pepsi and there’s several three watch combos steel that I probably would trade for the meteorite, but not those three. The three steel watches you have give you amazing versatility. I think you’re better off staying put.

Then again, I have a gut feeling the meteorite Pepsi is getting discontinued next year at W&W and if that happens, it will cost you more to obtain.

Ok ok, maybe I’m just hyping up Imy own watch here…but it could get the hook. Meteorite versions never seem to last long.
