I listened to him while he was still "university popular." Alot of his early work got me through some heartache during college.

He is a true Rolex fan. He doesnt just wear Rolex, he is knowledgeable about Rolex.

LBJ wore a Day-Date on a President bracelet.

DDE wore a Datejust on a jubilee bracelet. None are referred to as President
(except DDE)

I generally don't either, and would never buy a specific model or brand because so-and-so wears one.
