I was in the same situation and seriously considered buying a 126610 and popping the cyclops off, if I hadn't had a DSSD before this I probably would have.
It was the matte dial, fully graduated bezel and the allure of the Sea Dweller line that swayed me to spend the extra bucks. |

I was able to try it on before it was sold and fell in love immediately. Perfect size, just this tiny little bomb of a reference which seemingly does everything. I agree, Sea-Dwellers will always have less of a following than Subs: Sub one of top 3 most produced watch and is a must-have among Rolex neophytes. However, SD4K is a niche reference and appeals to more seasoned Rolex dive watch aficionados IMO. I have an older 5513 sub anyway. |
