Thanks I’ll be sure to update here.
I’m a little concerned as I’ve not heard back since I let him know they are on their way to him, but he may just be away or something and it’s going to take a few days to get there anyway… Most of the lume is missing from my dial as well, so he’ll relume dial and hands to match. |

I don't recall getting any notification when my watches arrived, only some photos once he'd started work. I gave clear written instructions about what I wanted done, so there was no need for early communication.

I'm confident he will knock it out of the park. It was a bit stressful there for a while however...

Late update…
Hands need to be changed to the correct ones but otherwise she’s running fine and looking good! I figure another month or so and she’ll be with me at long last. image uploader |

Looks good and will be lovely when complete ..
I’ve considered this too, mine was 1970, I’ve been looking at Omega or some older Rolex for my birth year …

This is a very specific build that I wanted, and the offer would have to be unreasonably high for me to even consider letting it go.

Joking aside, (I'm not prepared to share my chocolate with anyone) the watch looks great and I'm sure that you will enjoy it. I'm getting more and more interested in Speedmasters and to have one so personal as this will be to you is a great idea. As I've said before, I hope it works out for you as you hope and I'm sure it will be worth all of you efforts. I'm quite envious. |

Unless it's Coppeneur Chocolate, we won't even be having a discussion concerning chocolate!

You should be able to order direct from Germany. It's worth the price.
I first tried it years ago in Switzerland, a place called "Smuggler". The woman who ran the place was sole importer to CH for a lot of alcohols and cigars and I always stopped in when I was in town... She had me try a piece of that chocolate and I have yet to have anything better at any price since. We can import it out of Canada (the NA importer). |

Great read. Enjoy your “new” watch!!! Never thought I wanted a Speedmaster. Tried them on at Omega boutiques , but never bought till recently.

I have reproductions of the SEB12100030-210 and SEB12100030-202 straps. The latter being the "long" one used for EVA, to wear the watch outside the spacesuit.
The -210 is normal length to wear the watch on the skin in the cabin. Might get a Forstner flat link for it too, but haven't committed to that yet. |
