I picked the Skydweller in blue with jubilee over the Daytona. Daytona is next on my list though. I think for daily wear the SD is a better watch and more practical. Plus the design of the movement is an actual unique design.

At retail, the Daytona. I wouldn’t pay the grey price for one though.
The SkyD would be my pick if it was as slim and well proportioned as a DJ41…there is no good excuse as to why it’s width is what it is… |

Daytona - prefer the aesthetics and although I've never owned either, I suspect given it's size, it would wear more comfortably long term

Black Daytona but the Skydweller holds it's own.

Daytona is an easy pick - everything about it just works for me. The SkyD is a great piece though. Very different watches. Have you tried both of them on?

I love the blue dial SkyD, but with that choice, Daytona.

I prefer the Sky-Dweller with my 7.5-7.75 inch wrist. The Daytona-C is too small at 38.5 mm and is difficult for me to read or use. I have recently owned both the white dial and the black dial Daytona-C's and for flex it can not be beat. But for actual wear I prefer my Omega Speedmaster or my Tudor Chronos.

Any Sky Dweller. Blue is my favourite SS version.

Daytona is not appealing to me whatsoever. My blue dialed Sky-Dweller on Oyster is my favorite watch in my expansive collection.

An annual calendar is much more useful and will be used far more than a stop watch. Plus the black dial Daytona, as good as it looks, offers terrible legibility. Only Daytona I’d buy is a white dial. And I’d still choose a blue SkyD over it.
Which I did. |

Think it depends on your collection/collection goals and, of course, the intended niche the watch is going to fill.

When you are in this price bracket and didn’t stretch yourself to get here, it’s both.

Both are fantastic.
Hard to beat a SS Daytona. Love the wear and aesthetics, while the chrono function doesn’t get used as much in daily life. SkyD blue is a beauty. Wears larger, but still very comfortable. Movement is quite clever. Having a GMT and annual calendar is much more useful in real life. In reality, no bad choice. But one…then start saving for the other. You will likely end up wanting both . :) |

This shouldn't even be a question. The answer is Daytona every single time.

Daytona for me - size is the key factor. Sky-dweller is too large for my wrist but would love a complicated Rolex in a smaller case.
