This piece was a grail for me and in my opinion does not get much better in haute horology. 38.5mm rose gold case with old school complications and a perfectly sized/decorated movement. The original Lange 1 Moonphase!

Spent some time in the ALS boutique in Chicago yesterday, great place to try on some pieces. I went in thinking the Lange 1 Moonphase would be my top choice, came out falling in love with the 1815 Up/Down. Case diameter and thickness are perfect, and a beautifully balanced dial that’s not too dressy, not too casual. It’s like the Explorer of leather strapped watches for me. That one is on my short list, hope to join the club someday.
