Yea Omega is definitely trying to move up market with their pricing. Just look at the new Apollo 8 DSOTM. Beautiful watch, but $4,000 USD more than the outgoing model? Yeesh!

Plus Omega killed their 0% boutique credit card program. When I got my Speedy Moonphase I took advantage because who doesn’t love free money, but I got a letter recently that Omega closed my account. I thought it was because I hadn’t bought another piece within a year so I called to get it reactivated and was told that Omega killed the program.

One thing I don’t understand!
Nobody is talking about other brands increasing prices, but everyone is complaining about Omega going up!!
Longines, Oris, Tudor, Breitling, Cartier all increased anywhere from 5-15%!

No one really cares about Longines, Oris, or Breitling.

Cartier and Tudor are popular but I don't think those have increased as much as Omega's core products of Seamasters and Speedmasters.

How do you know what other people care about? You gave your opinion, and I'm sure you know what they say about opinions, but you don't speak for everyone.

New Aqua Terra

It’s not even just those mentioned. It seems every brand is raising prices and quite frequently. AP, Rolex, VC, Patek, Lange. Everywhere I look I see a thread about an upcoming price increase, regardless of brand.

Look at total market share. You can take Oris, Breitling, and Longines combined and they still wouldn't equal Omega or Cartier's total market share.

Market shares mean nothing to me. If I like a watch regardless of the brand, I'll buy it. So you have your opinion and choice, and I have mine. All good.

Same here!
If I can’t afford I won’t buy, if I can I do regardless of market values!
