To add, I called the Omega Boutique in Oakbrook, IL, and they have "one".

Yes, Omega Boutique. They got 2 in and both sold same day. I think the boutique gets first run at them, then they go to ADs

It's a cool looking watch. Too bad about the tie-ins to the movie.

Yes! They are specifically designed for the NATO strap.

Looks great, I just can't bring myself to spend the extra cash MSRP + Tax to get it at a boutique right now...

Whats your point? The movie is the reason it exists

Wrong. This watch exists because Omega manufactured a SeaMaster 300 with a similar look in the late 1950's. It was an all-time classic dive watch, which has now been co-opted and commercialized for a movie franchise.

This is why Omega will never be Rolex.

Had Omega done a tribute to the original like JLC did with the 1968 Polaris, or the 1959 Deep Sea, without a movie tie in, it would be a far more interesting watch. The JLC's tribute watches are actually quite beautiful and rare. This Omega, on the other hand, is gimmicky IMO.

This is actually exactly what Omega did when they reintroduced the 300MC over a year ago, as the poster above me previously stated. That's the one I own. This Bond/Spectre 300 is a modified/special edition movie tie-in version of that.

This, the new 300:

Is a reintroduction of this from the 1950s:

Really curious how this guy looks on the bracelet. Also, how long does the lume last on this guy?

Again, beautiful watch.

Question for the owners... Is the NATO rubbing marks into the metal part of the caseback?

Would like to know this as well. Though I suspect there hasn't nearly been enough elapsed time and wear for it to really show.

If it's going to do it, it should show up fairly quickly.

Have not seen any NATO marks yet. And the Lume is great - charge it up before bed and lasts all night long - not blaring bright, but if you are in daylight all day or charge it up, you will be able to read it at night in very dark situations easily. Although I would prefer a 20mm lug width, have found a few other 21mm straps (outside the NATO and Steel bracelet) that look great. Versatile watch.

Great representation of the original.

Congrats and enjoy a sharp, classic watch.

Anyone have a pic of the original?
