5711 - the classic
5740 - for the complications
In truth all are beautiful and wear well :-)

Early white dial, fun hands. Faaaar too many blue dial versions so-as to disqualify them due to being just more of the same imho.

5811. Just has a much nicer dial than the 5711. And it “might” become a more collectible nautilus than SS.

I will probably sound arrongant :-)
But I don't care.

The most classic/ iconic IS THE 5711, other answers are just wrong

If one asks which one you like the most, than we van have a discussion.
But a Nautilus was made simple and clean so it is the 5711, if you would also take into account vintage pieces it should mention the 3700

So the 3700 and 5711. I know people wo prefer the first, others the last. But that is the only correct answer

"Classic/quintessential Nautilus" is obviously the 5711.

The Nautilus I want (and never will have, and that's ok ) is the 5712.

I agree the white gold 5811, along with the 2 piece case, puts it at the Nautilus leading edge but I suspect Mr Stern may make more of them as he pulls away from steel.

+1 on the 5811... It's perfection... Also, 5712/1A... But I might be a bit biased... ha ha...

The 5712 to me is the most “Nautilus” because its the only model that breaks the conformity of the symmetric dial. Its an outlier among outliers

Not to mention its beautiful despite the asymmetry of the dial, which is a testament to the design work.

For me it goes: 3700 > 5712 > 5711 > 5740 > 3712 > 3710 > 5726 > the rest

I’m a big fan of the 5712/1A but there’s something about the 5980/1A in blue or black. A wonderful chronograph and sporty nautilus.
