That's not a Rolex decision...it's a consumer decision. People scream for larger watches because sadly they think 36mm is a "woman's watch".

Let's be honest there are 3 sport watches and one dress watch. I would keep the Batman and the Cartier, Cartier is such a classy timeless design.
There you have all bases covered, dress up, sporty and in the middle. Having a gold and stainless steel watch will open the door to more outfit pairings. |

Sounds like money is the big issue here and you didn’t mention if any carry sentimental value so sell the ones with the largest gain (Batman and Sub). Keep the explorer and Cartier.
If money is still tight, sell them all! Will be a fun goal to work back into them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Keep the Explorer & Cartier. Those (2) will cover all your watch needs.
The GMT & Sub will sell the best since finances play a roll.

My votes are in unison with the crowd. The Cartier is the easiest cut for me as I don't think people need dedicated dress watches anymore. The 4 you have right now suggests to me that you aren't a guy that wears suits and ties everyday to work so probably no need for a traditional dress watch. And again, I think any of the 3 Rolexes are fine for wearing with suits in today's day and age. So Cartier goes first.
After that, my subjective preference is to keep the Sub and BLNR. Practically speaking those are the hardest to replace as well. But objectively, Explorer I and BLNR is probably the better call. A bit more versatility and differentiation might be better if you only have 2 watches. But yea me personally, I'd keep the BLNR and Sub all day. |

If it were me, I'd keep the Cartier and Explorer. Explorer my favorite Rolex, and that Cartier is one of the slickest they make.
First one I'd sell is GMT because a) it'll fetch highest premium over MSRP and b) it's my least favorite of the four. Are you in a position to sell that one, see how much you net, and then decide if/when to sell another? If so, I'd double down on my recommendations, since you'll get the most for it. |

Also, just to throw this out there. Why even keep 2? Esp if finances are playing a role in your decision, why not just be a one watch guy for a bit? A BLNR or Sub would be easy as an only watch for most people. Heck you could just order a jubilee and just have "two" watches with the BLNR.

Same.
Keep the GMT for sure, then one more for variety. Why keep the GMT: - Does everything the Sub can when it comes to realistic 'diving' - Also has GMT function which is likely the mostly useful complication ever - Similar size/weight as the sub many would say "They're the same watch" - If you ever change your mind, a Sub is easier to add back than a GMT due to the relative hype - Looks more interesting than the sub |
