It's a sport watch/dress watch combo, take advantage of this.

So in conclusion, sticks, 100%. I'm pondering adding back a slate stick DD40 to the mix, it's an amazing watch and screams 'stealth wealth'. Opposite what I just had with the YG DD40 w/ baguettes.
Interesting point. I specifically chose deconstructed Romans because the lume of the sticks made it more sporty than I wanted. So it just comes down to personal preference. The sticks on the DD36 don't have lume and that would've been a tougher choice for me.

I know from previous threads here on TRF that not everyone is a Romans fan (nor is my husband). I personally love them, and have them on my DJ36. I do not think they look cluttered until you see them on the smaller ladies’ watches (such as a 31mm). I know they are “old fashioned,” and they would look out of place on a sports watch, but a DD is a classic formal watch that has been around for decades, and an automatic movement is in and of itself “old fashioned.”

So, it’s very personal. If you are already inclined towards Romans, I would definitely recommend them (on a blue dial or any other dial), as you suggested.

It’s crazy how different this watch can look under different lighting. That looks great!
