That’s probably the one Rolex model if I saw in the wild, I would make an effort to speak to the owner as they have to be a serious WIS to own one. If I had a 8” wrist I would seriously consider one just for its historical and technical significance for Rolex.

I started with 44mm Panerai then 47mm 232. Daily is a DSSD JC so I like bigger watches. I think the Challenge looks great on you! hope to see one someday!

Looks great! That crystal is surprisingly reflective, though! I wonder if it's from additional doming?

Thank you so much! Yes, I agree. I actually can't believe Rolex was able to engineer a watch that goes down 11 THOUSAND meters, in such a "small" package. Great pic of the deep!

Suits your collection nicely!
Thank you! Yup, I have been waiting since initial release of these watches. It seems like Rolex is starting to ship them. Maybe they'll ramp up for anyone who wants one.

The matte dial is awesome. I also like the big metal chapter ring, it breaks it up in person much more than in pics (in a good way).

I agree! I would do the same. Maybe you'll see me one day; I'll be wearing this piece out in the world!

It does have a nice dome and is super thick, but I think lighting may have played a role too.

Thanks! I have two Ultradeeps, the titanium one with a strap and the summer blue on bracelet. To be transparent, I'm not a big fan of the titanium on bracelet as it looks kind of small and feels too light. I do like the summer blue on bracelet and it feels great on the wrist too. But the Challenge is surprisingly comfortable and the proportions make it feel great on the wrist (assuming the bracelet iis sized correctly, which mine is).

Thank you! My wrist is 7.5 to 7.7 inches depending on the weather. However, I think the shape of ones wrist is also a factor; mine is a little flatter on top which makes wider watches more comfortable, and conversely watches with small contact areas (like the current "regular" Seadweller) less comfortable. Pros/Cons.
