Yes, it's true about living in Japan. I had to provide proof of Japanese address to them. I lived in Tokyo for nearly a decade and moved away 2 years ago. I still maintain a residence there. I did unintentionally fall into a loophole with how they count an individual. I have three nationalities/passports. With the AP boutique in Japan, I am registered on my US passport which holds my Japanese residency and visas. With AP boutique in London, it's on my UK passport. I brought this up with AP London and Tokyo when I started my relationship with AP London, both thanked me for my honesty and said it wasn't an issue and they could continue to allocate to me as two different individuals.

Awesome smoked dial! Congrats!

Went to AP Ginza 2 weeks ago and was shown pieces that I requested to try on. Very nice and polite to their customers.

Don’t think I’ll be able to get one as I don’t live there.

Is AP ok with having more than 1 account in different regions because I see on your profile says London and Taipei

I see a rising star in boxing Connor Benn doing the same with having an account at AP House London and now AP Dubai

Maybe I need to hedge my bets and venture out of the UK

In person, is the dial more smoked like in your photos or many of the photos I see, akin to the below, look like the entire dial is a light blue?

It's more smoked in person. In bright light it looks like it does in your photo.

In pictures it looks like the "regular" and diamond-baguette-index 15510BC (in your picture) have different dials. Really look forward to seeing both IRL.

Congrats! the dial painfully lacks pop though doesn't it? A bit bland looking to my taste, a bit like the regular rhodium dial RO.

I didn't realize there were two dial iterations, is the diamond baguette the 100 piece LE and non-diamond normal production run?

Indeed.

- 15510BC.OO.1320BC.01 which is LE 100 pieces with diamond baguettes. That piece is already in the legacy section.
and
- 15510BC.OO.1320BC.02 which is Special Edition launched earlier this year for the Japan market. That one has the standard indices.
From memory, I think Wei Koh said that it will be released to other parts of the world from Q3 onwards.

The dials at least on photos look different. The LE blue has similar hue like the 15550 light blue.

Excellent, thank you for the clarification, will try to see one in person, I see one hit for ~$98k in the secondary market which looks to be a fair price.

Be great (but very hard) to get both together and see just how different they are.

The 15510BC.OO.1320BC.02 is on the UK AP site @ £54,900 and there it looks far more like a Smoke dial than a very Light Sky Blue dial of the Japanese LE;
