I am in the camp that diamond dials are nice on some watches. I have three with diamonds but have 13 without. They add a dimension and contrast different than the normal watch. It looks great in formal affairs or for going out. I don't understand the disdain for diamonds on mens watches but it is very prevalent here. So, if you love diamonds then get them on a watch and don't worry what others say.

I had a DJII with diamond markers for about a year. Beautiful watch, but I felt I could not wear it as a casual watch and I did not have much opportunity for dressy occasions. Finally traded it for the same model, but with stick markers. I am much happier and the watch gets more wrist time.

It is certainly a personal preference. My wife had a TT DJ with a champagne diamond dial. Looked nice on her watch but she sold it. The only diamonds that I like are the baguette cut stones on the DD and Platinum Daytona dial. They are nicely done and well mounted to only see the stone. I don't like the settings on the DJ diamond dial. The settings over power the stones. Like it is trying too hard to look big but is really mostly setting. Stones that size are surprising cheap. The DJ would look really nice with baguette cut diamond markers. But for me, I like my watches free of diamonds, even if they look nice. Just not for me.

I've always been a fan of diamonds. Not necessarily completely iced out, but a little sparkle looks great to me. Love the look of the serti dials.

I like diamond hour markers but draw the line when the whole watch is coverd with diamonds. Also, prefer diamonds on dressier pieces like dj and dd.

No that is one diamond dial I think I could wear without feeling I was compromising my masculinity

Personally I need the illuminated sticks for night use. Diamonds are a girls best friend as they say but that's just my opinion.

Pretty watch, but I've never seen a Daytona look so big. That wrist must have a 5 handle, no?

Indeed. I was browsing at my AD and wanted to try on a Platona. Wasn't sold on the brown subdials, but my sales guy pulled this one out and said he hoped I would like it better. I didn't even realize the markers were diamonds at first. The baguettes are so subtle and don't compromise masculinity at all!

I didn't want to leave the AD without it, but alas, my AD doesn't accept kidneys for payment.

My sales guy also showed me this Platona. This one however, I wouldn't wear in a million years.

Love diamonds on a watch BUT in moderation. Diamonds are great for statement.

I love the five digits Submariner with serti dial. I could totally wear one.

Ruby, emerald, sapphire, diamond, you name it. If money wasn't an issue, I'd probably have several Subs with different serti dials. No gems anywhere but the hour indices though, I'm not a fan of stones on the bezel, case or bracelet, too much for me.

Diamonds? Heck, I don't even care for precious metal. Even my wedding ring is steel, let alone my watches!

I don’t mind them as long as it’s nothing crazy. This 1999 Submariner was one of my favorites until I got my first PM model.
