Perfect collection is the one your wife won't "borrow"......that's why I'm sticking with " big ugly" sports models

I used to think my collection was perfect.
But have come to realize a collection (at least mine) should always be evolving. Since the photo I have gotten rid of several pieces and added others. There will always be permanent pieces but I prefer to continue to have a revolving collection. -Jeremy

The PERFECT Collection you ask... Well that is an easy one.... The perfect watch collection consists of only one thing...
Wanting what you have rather than having what you want... watches, cars, house... insert anything

The answer will depend on individual style>>>
First and foremost, I prefer dive watches. So for me, an ideal collection would include a Planet Ocean, Rolex Submariner and a Breitling dive watch (Steelfish).

theme
I think any collection with some sort of "theme". Something like-- dive watches, or 60's alarm watches, or rectangular watches, or 7750-movement watches.
The collections that I don't care for are "I bought a bunch of brand new Rolex and stuck them in a drawer/safe", or my own collection which is "I have accumulated a pile of "bargains" with no rhyme or reason". |

In a previous "wish-list" thread, I listed my must-haves, which are all pretty much the "iconic" watches. It's kinda like a "masterpiece" in the art world - something you know has stood the test of time, and can be appreciated no matter in which era it exists. So my collection would have a sport watch, a dress watch, a chrono, and maybe one or two other watches, but all iconic. JMHO
