Wonderful timepiece
I have recently stated that I have yet to see a Patek that I like, but have to say this timepiece is beautifully crafted. The balance of proportions are just right & the display back has a right to be there.
Your photographs do this piece justice. Enjoy in the best of health

Not for me
I'm not crazy about the partial obliteration of primary hour numbers [see also IWC] nor the 'sharpness' of case edges. To me it is aestheticly confused, with a traditional feeling dial, IMHO too busy, set in modernist angular case with too many planes. If it were food to me it would be too rich.....
Great pictures! [I listen to opera...]

I think the manual wind is in keeping with its very classical looks.

Lot of PP haters on this forum. "It's nice, but impractical for mowing the lawn...."
This is a beautiful watch. Handcrafted, beautifully finished movement in limited production...basically as good as it gets in the horological world. And no--it's not as rugged as a Rolex. It's not meant to be. Bravo on your acquisition. Don't mow the lawn with it. But do smile like a damn fool every time you put it on your wrist. I only wish I was confident enough in my bottom line to drop the money for a PP. Someday....

untill you have seen the Platinum :-) Saw one months ago. I do love the red gold a lot, especially with the silver-grey dial BUT the platinum 5070 with blue sunburst dial is the most amazing watch I ever saw. Only 2 problems ... 2 BIG problems :-) First : way too expensive for me Second : Even if you have the money, they're impossible to get LOL

Beautiful....and prestigious. However, it would be hard for me to shell out that kind of cash. PP are the cream of the crop but just too $$$$. Rolex and Zenith also make beautiful Chronos...

[QUOTE=ratae1950;700035]I'm not crazy about the partial obliteration of primary hour numbers.
First off,i am a huge Patek fan and my goal is to aquire one in my lifetime, But the partial numbers at the 2,4,8 & 10 are a major design flaw IMHO.

This might be frowned upon, I love the 5070P, always have, but would really like to have it on a bracelet. Just my 2 cents.
