She does prefer the white dial. However like tells me everytime a new Iphone comes out and I'm thinking of getting the white version, "I already know you, you are going to get board of the white." So I always stick with black. I don't know though thw white face really sings to me and I like the idea of having something different from a black. I think I've owned 7 black dial Rolex's and one Light color (Rhodium). The rhodium DJ was probably my top three favorite. |

My vote considering what you have is the white dial Daytona.

Get whatever sings to you most since you will be the one spending a good amount of coin on the watch(es) and wearing them. If you consider the GMT to be dressy and don't wear it as much, be prepared for the same feeling with the Daytona if not even more so. The GMT has the amazing Rolex ceramic bezel at least, which is very durable and resistant to almost everything. The Daytona bezel will scratch if you even just breathe on it IMO and is just a huge scratch magnet, the reason why I'm waiting for the ceramic bezels to make their way to the full Daytona line. I would pick up two models that you are comfortable wearing in any environment and in any occasion to get maximum enjoyment out of them, just my two cents. If that's a Daytona and Sub or EXP1, then huge congrats :)

Those are both gorgeous watches, but nothing beats the sub for a casual "every day" watch. And it's still classy enough to get dressed-up.

114060 if it has to be a Rolex. If not the Tudor Pelagos is a great daily wear.

The Explorer would pair well with just about anything (here's mine with a Sub 5513), and it would make an excellent "knock around" watch. If you're looking for a versatile, under-the-radar/minimal aesthetic luxury timepiece, the 214270 (or the 36mm 114270) is tough to beat.
