Thanks and yes I'm very excited about this watch
The price for SS is CHF 72k (add CHF 3k for gold bridge) without VAT.
Price for platinum and pink gold is CHF 88k without VAT.

Very reasonably priced, relatively speaking ofcourse.

Simon Brette sosuscription was also 50K CHF, scared of what regular production will cost hopefully in the same ballpark as the numbers you stated for your piece.

If you don't mind, what deposit % was requested after getting an allocation.

By the way congrats on getting an allocation.

Thank you!
Happy to share and will be as transparent as Sylvain was to me.
Deposit is 30% upon confirmation of order; 30% during realization (I think this refers to the start of the manufacture of your actual watch); and 40% upon delivery.
He made only 10 to 12 per year hence you can plan your cashflow accordingly. My delivery will be Q1 2026. The specifications of your watch and delivery date will be stated clearly in the confirmation order.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for being transparent.
Helps alot, it gives a great perspective how deposits with independents works.

A minor update
I have changed my order to rose gold bridge and hands, as my Petermann Bedat is also silver dial blue hands and will be too similar to my original Origine order. The delivery date remains Q1 2026. Can't wait to meet Sylvain at his workshop.

Interesting tweak. Still looks stunning.

Any new deposits added to the list?

I've made another tweak and will be updating another thread shortly. There are a few independents that don't accept deposits until closer to the delivery date, which is a good thing in my view.

Maybe they want to be “flexible” with their pricing before delivery.

I am hoping to get payment detajl on one of my dream pieces soon. Hope my bank won’t mess up this time with international wire.

There might well be price adjustment towards delivery but my experience is paying for 20-30% deposit may or may not guarantee price freeze, unless it is specifically written in the deposit invoice. One exception is the Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor which I paid 100% in advance and I managed to dodge a serious price increment last year.

Voutilainen freezes price too. My AD had a Tourbillion delivered a year or so ago which was ordered 10+ years ago. I bet the owner was one happy guy when he took delivery of a watch which was many times over what he paid for.

I thought the same way about the rose gold elements too. I will update as and when there are news on the delivery.

Thank you!
Also I would like to add Sylvain is one of the nicest watchmakers around. He is very understanding and patient regarding my change request, and I really appreciate that.

That’s one helluva of a timepiece 10/10! Drop the “Hand Made” on the dial and it out be 10+/10.

Thanks! And you are not the first person who commented on the "Hand Made" wordings on the main dial haha! There are customers who wish to have them removed. Please refer to the one in the middle.

There are some who observed that the Origine is very similar to the Signature 1. I thought they are fair comments due to the dial layout but the Origine is slightly more than 1/3 the price of the Signature 1 and is better finished in my opinion. I had deliberated between these 2 watches before I decided on the Origine.

I really like the rose gold bridges and hands. Definitely makes sense for change it with the similarities to the Peterman Bedat. Can’t wait to see your photos and hands on impressions when you get it.

Thanks again for the updates.

This is Esperluxe's collaboration with Sylvain. It's a stunner. Dial is gold frosted and the watch retails CHF 76,900. The last time I asked him just a few months ago, his last order for Origine is 2028 and the production will stop then. He doesn't want to produce Origine forever.

I respect him for wanting to move onto something else but also feel bad for those who’ll never get to own one. It’s a great watch.

Beautiful time piece. Just the right size balance of time, second subdial and exposed balance wheel. Good comparison might be Romain Gauthier.
