I'm not much of a Daytona fan, but would like a vintage one for the collection.

I am very happy with my Daytona, It was my grail watch since I was 15. I opted against the SS as I thought the TT was an upgrade and they were both the same price. To be perfectly honest I must say some models such as the sub does nothing for me, And I rather a GMT over a Sub any day. Basically to each his own. You never know... There may be a leopard or zebra lover out there somewhere.

I dont like Daytonas, cause the bezel has no sharp teeth like Submariner and without teeth the gold part doesnt look so shining from far.

Rony from Arts and Antiques has one for sale at £5000 Z plater. Its on ebay currently.

Last Nov he offered to fit the dial to a 116528 to give me one of my favourite combo's. I went for the 116718 instead and the dial has ended up in a TT.

I know Rony, I'd be nervous, as if there was a warranty issue with the watch, I am not sure Rolex would honour it, as it would have been opened by someone other than them....Not sure about it, just a feeling.
