Not at all my kind of watch, but that doesn't matter for 2 reasons.

Firstly, I couldn't come close to affording it.

Secondly, it transcends the normal watch criteria and in my mind is actually a work of art.
And a quite stunning one at that. Something to be viewed and admired rather than worn.

Thanks to OP for posting. It is breathtaking.

Yes but I’m sure the OP doesn’t give a flip what you or I think. This is obviously small potatoes to him. I hope!

Decent pick up. Good thing about that watch is 99.9% of people will think it is costume jewellery from a local market.

I will understand if you’d rather not answer. I guess others will also be curious.
Not sure what the etiquette is for disclosing off catalog pricing, but happy to share via PM if you really want to know

This is my actually my first full gold bracelet Rolex, but I have pretty much all the stainless steel professional models, will most a group photo later

I’d be interested to know what kind of AD gets pieces like this. Do they make pitches to Rolex USA based on potential customers, or does RUSA just send them to the “major” ADs (e.g., Rolex Boutique Fifth Ave NYC, Rolex Boutique Rodeo Drive LA, etc.) and let the AD decide whom to allocate to?
I’m not entirely sure how it all works but only the ADs in Rolex’s good graces get off-catalog models from what I’ve heard

Can you explain the process of the acquisition? Did your SA or AD need to apply to Rolex on your behalf to allocate the reference to you? Or was it up for grabs already at your AD?
I expressed my interest in the OF version earlier this year but sadly was told that got discontinued. My AD asked me to come in and had this surprise for me, and the rest is history

so true, another AD I stopped by at today thought it was fake or non-factory at first because she has never seen it in the catalog

I know people have mixed feelings about this watch but I personally see it as a piece of functional jewelry that will be passed down to my children one day. The gem setting is simply exquisite and the quality of the stones impeccable. Also realized this could be the very first yellow gold Daytona on oyster *bracelet* that has the newer 40.5mm maxi style case with the thicker crown guards and downward curved lugs (it’s about time!)

While the rainbow was my original grail, I think this one tops it for me now personally due to the combination of YG, the unique design of the pave dial, and white diamonds, which I think is a lot more wearable.

Hope you all enjoy the photos!
Cheers and best wishes to you all

Very nice, can you confirm the price you paid, as I could no find the price on the Rolex website.

It’s an off catalog watch so the price won’t be on the website

Wow, what a stunning watch...congrats!

Maybe it's just the pics, but that may be the first Daytona I've seen where the sub dial counters are easier to read than the time.

Congrats on getting something you love, that is rarer than rare.

I've never seen pics of a bejeweled Daytona with Oysterflex band, but that seems like it would be super incongruous.

Enjoy it!
