If You want the "Eye" just wait. On the other hand, Fifty years on the wrist with a No date, I got used to No date. Now that a GMT gets alternate wear with a Hulk and both have the "Eye", I never look at the date. That 5513 No Date Sub is My "Mack Daddy" of Rolex's. The Starting point for All the Mega Rolex's that the Boys and Girls Posting here have a Hard time Holding their water over.

I would actually prefer the nd personally, but I'll parrot everyone else and say to wait for what you really want.

Wait for the watch you want. You'll be happier in the long run.

A rule I've learnt in all my years of collecting is never settle for a substitute, just because:
1. it is a cheaper alternative or 2. it is available quicker Because the one you truly wanted WILL ALWAYS be on the back of your mind. So either save, or wait, and in your case, I would wait for the Sub Date! |

If you have your heart set on the Sub-C with date, then I say wait for it. Don't settle.

The timing there is a little suspicious, but in the end it doesn't matter -- you left with the watch you wanted. Wear it in good health. |

Never settle for such an expensive item. You will always end up selling it and then moving on to what you originally wanted.
Even though Sub no date is a classic watch, if you want the cyclops then dont settle for no-date. |

I'd advice you don't buy it, to avoid regrets.

Submariner 114060. True to the original. Why would I need a date function on a dive watch? (my opinion)
