however, wearing an AP shirt while taking photos with your first nautilus....i must say you were not dressed for the occasion

Man that's gorgeous! Not in the cards for me budget wise, so I'm just jealous in every way!

The reason I didn’t care for the Nautilus was not because I disliked the way it looked, but rather because I had very little experience seeing them in person. With the exception of Royal Oaks, I’ve always been more of a dress watch guy.

While viewing the 2021 releases at my AD, I commented on how comfortably the green 5711 wore on the wrist and my SA asked if I would be interested in a Nautilus. I would be an idiot to say no, so I just told him to let me know if something came in. I knew there was a long queue, so I didn’t expect a call for quite a while.

Apparently the person this watch was allocated to was unable to travel to pick it up, so my AD transferred the allocation to me. Wearing this 5711/1r for the last few days has made me realise why so many people love the reference. Thanks again everyone for the helpful input and the congratulations. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s incomings in the near future 🥂

What kind of relationship though did you have to be so casually offered the watch? I'm assuming you must have a very extensive purchase history.

I’ve bought a couple of complications pieces and a Calatrava, but I definitely wouldn’t say my purchase history is extensive especially compared to some other members on this forum.
