Wore my VC overseas all over Rome with short sleeves. The only time i even though about it was train station, and just put in pocket. But walking around Rome? You will be fine. Nice watches are everywhere in that city.

You never know

Oops. I was trying to respond to the post about seeing a cab driver there wearing a Rolex.

With excact looking fake Rolex watches how would you know if was real? I see lots of posts saying "we saw lots of Rolex in Vegas" ect. Just my 2 cents.

Not going to lie, I love going back and seeing my favorite watch in my pictures to places that are special.. but in today's world, it's better to have a piece of mind that you (and your family) will be safe from a bad situation that would ruin the entire vacation or even worse- cause you and/or your family harm.

Wore my WG Daytona on Oysterflex to a cheesesteak restaurant in Camden, NJ a few weeks ago.

In hindsight, that may not have been my best move.

If you were worried about wearing the watch (right or wrong), you did the correct thing. A vacation shouldn't include worrying about your watch. Have fun!

Good decision. I would probably wear a gshock or maybe a GS at most in Italy
