I'm a bit late to this thread. Although I love the look of forged carbon I'm really not convinced by its durability. My AD has for sale a fc GP....the owner claims to have worn it just twice but it looks like its done a tour in Afghanistan.

I've got a carbon mountain bike and that really is rock hard, forged carbon just looks a bit flimsy and plastic.

The GPs were earlier examples of forged carbon, and their cases were more prone to fraying; AP has since perfected the process, and current FC cases are rock solid.

Also, not for nothing, but you have no idea how that GP you viewed was worn. Just sayin'.

Adam

Now I just need to move to an eternally summer location. Thats your signature HTFU bracelet isnt it? :P Watch looks great. Do you have any other APs in your collection?

@FightOnSC - you have the carbon Ginza? That watch looks awesome. I'm not too sold on the design of the 44s... they just look too big and plain..
Check my avatar...that's my watch. Yes, I own the Ginza and I love it to death. My favorite ever and probably always will be

so, are the GP's expected to be not as durable. considering this model, but as the bezel is also FC, im starting to worry?
